Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Report any changes in a patient's condition, mood, or behavior to the Registered Nurse (RN) immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
- Assist with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
Qualifications
- Current and active Ohio CNA License required.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association) must be up to date.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
