Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established medical protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and medical conditions, documenting all observations and changes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Nebraska.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (EMR/EHR).
