Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring all protocols and safety regulations are followed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and health status, promptly reporting any changes or adverse reactions to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and coordinate individualized care plans.
- Document patient care activities, including updates to medical records and communication with families and support systems.
- Participate in departmental rounds, quality improvement initiatives, and continuous education to maintain current licensure and skills.
- Manage critical situations and emergencies with composure, utilizing advanced life support protocols when necessary.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BSN degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is a plus.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to patient safety and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
