Job Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assessing patient needs, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and intervene promptly as indicated by vital signs, symptoms, or changes in medical condition.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and self-care instructions.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, utilizing critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Kentucky.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
- NICU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry experience is a plus.
