Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, history taking, and diagnostic evaluation to formulate accurate nursing diagnoses.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and revise individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Monitoring & Observation: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes and intervening promptly to prevent complications.
- Education & Advocacy: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including progress notes and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer skills.
- Professionalism: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a focus on patient safety and quality of care.
