Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings with critical assessment and intervention skills
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring patient responses and documenting outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, safety protocols, and hospital policies
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process enhancement projects
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Active California RN license (or compact license with CA endorsement)
- BSN degree required; MSN or specialty certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in telemetry, ER, or ICU
- BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS required for pediatric roles
- Strong clinical judgment and proficiency in emergency response protocols
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across departments
- Experience with Epic EMR system and telehealth technologies
