Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Commitment to professional development and ethical standards.
