Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and safety protocols
- Participate in weekend shift rotations covering Saturday/Sunday shifts
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- BSN degree or higher preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced weekend environment
- Previous weekend shift experience highly desirable
