Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with hospital protocols and nursing standards.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously, responding immediately to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure holistic care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infection and promote healing.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently during high-volume weekend shifts.
