Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough health assessments and implement individualized care plans for patients in our acute care unit.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer medications and treatments while strictly adhering to safety protocols and doctor's orders.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and utilize critical thinking skills to manage crises effectively.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patient rights and comfort, ensuring a high standard of quality of life.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Schedule: Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
