Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse will assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide direct care to patients. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care for our diverse community in Albuquerque.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with provider orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the healthcare team to adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide patient and family education regarding medical conditions, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures and rules.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of New Mexico.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment during weekends.
