Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, monitor patient conditions, and implement individualized care plans to ensure optimal recovery.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments according to strict hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate seamless patient care.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Regularly track and document vital signs, lab results, and patient responses to treatments.
- Communication: Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families regarding diagnoses and care instructions.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and assist in code situations as required.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active RN license issued by the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Schedule Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a patient-centered approach.
