Core Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor vital signs and report significant changes or adverse reactions to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Virginia.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as required.
