Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed nurse practitioners.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (Med-Surg, ICU, or ER experience a plus).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as necessary.
