Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient conditions to ensure optimal care outcomes.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously observe and record vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient status to detect any medical emergencies.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- License: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Kansas.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care in high-pressure environments.
