Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and clinical condition, reporting any changes immediately to the charge nurse or physician.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheterization, and patient education regarding health management.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond to emergency situations and assist in trauma care during critical events.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN, BSN, or MSN).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates with exceptional rotations may be considered).
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
