Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing physical assessments to monitor patient health status and identify potential complications.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Collaborative Care: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment, reporting any deviations immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care to promote recovery and wellness.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations, demonstrating composure and technical proficiency.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
