Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through physical exams, medical history reviews, and patient interviews.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant patient medical records and documentation.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and healing environment for all patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California (RN-CA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
