Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical standards.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, alerting physicians to any significant changes in condition.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge instructions, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical expertise to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
