Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with nursing protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities to the charge nurse or physician.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure comprehensive and continuous patient care.
- Document patient care services accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (preferred for specialized units).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
