Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, identifying changes in condition and responding immediately to emergencies.
- Provide direct patient care and education, ensuring patients and families understand treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and interventions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities to enhance unit performance.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
