Responsibilities
- Delicate patient care in acute care settings with emphasis on critical thinking and clinical judgment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision and safety protocols
- Document patient assessments and interventions in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current California RN license in good standing
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications required (PALS preferred for specialty units)
- Minimum 1-2 years acute care experience in relevant specialty (MedSurg, ICU, ER, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in electronic health record documentation systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
