Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and monitor patient vitals to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Care Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to all safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and physicians to provide updates on patient conditions.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred (new grads encouraged with relevant externships).
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
