Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, recognizing changes that require immediate intervention.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code blue alerts within the facility.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
