Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations with calm, decisive action.
- Compliance: Adhere to all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Illinois (or compact state).
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric units.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
- Soft Skills: Compassionate demeanor with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
