Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health conditions and vital signs to identify changes in medical status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and licensed nurse practitioners.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with hygiene, positioning, and comfort measures.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner to ensure proper medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues regarding care updates and patient needs.
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and critical incidents according to established protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Physical stamina to perform standing, walking, and lifting as required by the job duties.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a patient-first mindset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and clinical procedures.
