Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, and develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Monitor patients' health conditions by performing frequent physical exams and taking medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, post-procedure care, and medication management.
- Document patient care services in medical records in accordance with legal standards and facility protocols.
- Respond to emergencies and critical situations with calm and efficient action.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care standards.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
