Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and timely using electronic health record systems.
- Provide patient and family education regarding health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Monitor patient conditions for changes and alert the medical team to any potential complications.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical-surgical setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
