Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health status by performing thorough physical exams and reviewing detailed medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, medication management, and health promotion strategies.
- Monitor patient progress continuously and respond immediately to any changes in condition or medical emergencies.
- Document all patient care activities, clinical observations, and interventions accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred for critical care units.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
