Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Prepare and maintain patient care areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
- Assist in the transfer and mobility of patients, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in patient condition or symptoms to the Registered Nurse (RN) or physician promptly.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the healthcare team.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA or LPN license in the state of Arizona.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
