Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Trauma ICU setting, assessing patient needs and formulating individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during critical incidents.
- Respond rapidly and effectively to emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and life-saving interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, disease processes, and discharge instructions to promote recovery.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Previous experience in Trauma or Critical Care nursing preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
