Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Triage: Assess patient symptoms via phone and in-person interactions to determine urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Prioritize Care Delivery: Utilize clinical judgment to manage patient flow, ensuring critical cases are addressed immediately while optimizing resource allocation.
- Provider Collaboration: Communicate patient findings and recommendations effectively to physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EMR) documenting patient interactions, triage assessments, and follow-up plans.
- Education & Support: Provide patient education on self-care, medication management, and preventive health measures.
- Emergency Response: Execute rapid response protocols during high-volume periods or critical care events.
Qualifications
- Education: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong assessment skills, exceptional communication abilities, and proficiency in EMR systems.
- License: Colorado RN License in good standing with no disciplinary actions.
- Attributes: Ability to remain calm under pressure, empathetic patient care approach, and strong critical thinking skills.
