Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine medical urgency and appropriate level of care.
- Utilize clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines to make critical triage decisions.
- Document patient interactions, symptoms, and care plans accurately in the EMR system.
- Provide clear instructions and health education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Manage high call volumes while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with triage experience preferred.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).
