Responsibilities
- Perform detailed and accurate symptom assessments via phone and secure messaging.
- Utilize clinical decision-making skills to determine patient urgency and recommend appropriate levels of care.
- Provide evidence-based triage advice, health education, and self-care instructions to patients.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately and promptly in the EMR.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers.
- Manage incoming calls efficiently, maintaining high-quality service standards.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage, telehealth, or urgent care setting.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to de-escalate tense situations and educate patients clearly.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
