Responsibilities
- Assess and Monitor: Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document all clinical findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer Care: Perform medication administration, wound care, and treatment procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient treatment plans.
- Crisis Management: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations, utilizing advanced clinical judgment and life-saving techniques.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge instructions, and health promotion strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and strong clinical assessment skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse patient populations.
