Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement a comprehensive nursing care plan.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform basic life support (BLS) as required.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Colorado.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
