Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs to identify changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to strict physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Document patient responses to care accurately and in a timely manner within the electronic health record (EMR).
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease management, medications, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and nursing staff to ensure holistic patient care.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Indiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
