Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient conditions to ensure timely and accurate interventions.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient progress notes and incident reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop individualized care plans.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing critical patients.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, disease management, and preventative health strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
