Responsibilities
- Assess patient health issues and determine appropriate nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapeutic procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes or abnormalities immediately.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment in accordance with hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of New York.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and nursing procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
