Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Crisis Intervention: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Education: Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and preventative care strategies.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the state of California (or compact state eligibility).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required at time of hire.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with medical technology.
- Soft Skills: Empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
