Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in ER/ICU units during weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vitals and document electronic health records
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for holistic care plans
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment interventions
- Precept new staff and maintain regulatory compliance standards
- Participate in weekend quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Texas RN license (BSN preferred)
- 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Weekend shift availability (Sat-Sun 7a-7p)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Epic EMR proficiency
- Ability to adapt to high-pressure environments
- Spanish bilingualism a plus
