Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients across diverse units including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and clinical protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and response to treatment with meticulous documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, medications, and discharge planning
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and adhere to regulatory standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (TX) or compact state
- BSN degree required (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience in relevant specialty
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Commitment to weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts)
