Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in ER, ICU, or Med-Surg units during weekend shifts
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, documenting changes in EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for care coordination
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge protocols
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety standards
- Respond effectively to emergency situations with rapid intervention
Qualifications
- Active CO RN license (compact license accepted)
- BSN or ADN with 2+ years acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience in weekend/holiday shift scheduling preferred
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- EMR proficiency (Epic Systems knowledge a plus)
- Ability to adapt to high-volume weekend patient loads
