Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and physical and psychosocial conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and promptly report any changes or emergencies to the healthcare team.
- Provide patient education and support to families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities and interventions.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all hospital safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.
- Commitment to patient safety and the highest standards of clinical practice.
