Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to interventions, escalating concerns immediately.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to lift, move, and position patients safely.
