Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately assess and monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and medical conditions, reporting significant changes immediately to the healthcare team.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate patient medical records and documentation in a timely manner.
- Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies and assist with critical care situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas (TX).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred; weekend experience is a plus.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills and proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Availability: Must be willing to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and holiday rotations.
