Responsibilities
- Deliver Patient-Centered Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
- Medication Management: Accurately administer medications and treatments, ensuring patient safety and adherence to medication schedules.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes or abnormalities to the attending physician.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate medical records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal care outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately to patient emergencies and crises, utilizing critical thinking and sound clinical judgment.
- Education: Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred, with specific experience in telemetry or medical-surgical units.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) on a rotating or fixed schedule.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR) and hospital information systems.
- Professionalism: Adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and HIPAA compliance standards.
