Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards and hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, monitoring patients for any adverse reactions.
- Monitor vital signs and patient conditions continuously throughout the shift to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in code situations as needed.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Nevada.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with strong proficiency in clinical assessment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and holidays as required by the schedule.
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
