The Role
As a Weekend Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care during critical shift hours. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and therapists to develop and adjust patient care plans.
- Document patient history, progress notes, and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized nursing unit environment.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations during the shift.
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required (PALS preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and holiday shifts.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
