Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to assigned patients during weekend shifts.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in clinical condition to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Document all patient care activities, assessments, and interventions accurately and timely in the EMR system.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal recovery.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to promote continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of Louisiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work rotating weekends (Saturday and Sunday) as part of the scheduled shift.
